William Frederick DuerrBorn: 5-Jan-1876Died: 29-Mar-1945 Born in Neukirchen, Germany. Died in Meadville, PA. Occupation: Tool & Dye Maker at both Erie (PA) Railroad & Barrett Machine until accident at the plant where a piece of steel got in his eye & left him blind in that eye. He then worked with local carpenters. After he married Anna Bittler he built a home on Morgan St. (Meadville, PA) where they raised 5 children & farmed their land along with horses, cows, pigs & chickens. Comments: He came to America May 29, 1888 along with his father Frederick & two sisters, Lena & Sophie. He was 12. |
