Lawrence Frederick "Fred" LoeschBorn: 25-Nov-1916Died: 22-Aug-1964 Born in Meadville, PA. Died at the age of 47 in a plane crash. The Air Force aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from the Andrews Air Force Base in MD. Occupation: Air Force General. His career with the Air Force lasted nearly 25 years until his death in a place crash.(see pictures) Was the co-pilot in a record-breaking KC135 jet flight from Tokyo to Washington in 1958. Though suffering a broken neck, he survived a crash which killed seven others in Panama in 1941, and also harrowing experiences over Germany during WWII. |
